The Fox and the Grapes

A hungry fox was crossing a vineyard, where ripe, juicy grapes were hanging much higher. In his attempt to win the delicious fruits, the fox leapt and sprang several times, but was unsuccessful in all his attempts. When he finally had to give up, he backed down and smiled to himself, “Well, what does it matter? The grapes are sour!”

Old Learning: It is easy to despise what you cannot get.

New Take

It is sometimes better to accept defeat so that there is enough energy to try a new thing or find a new fruit. It is also better to find low hanging fruits than running for unreachable goals.
